Popsicles!

After playing with the water table on our front porch, I thought the kids needed a popsicle treat! Henry LOVES popsicles & does great with them. Emma was always afraid of them at his age, I think because they were so cold.

I love this kid.

July 4th!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July this year!  Both sets of grandparents were out of town, so we stayed home & hung out this year.

Here are the kids in their festive clothes :)

Then we went to the park & played on the playground.  Here's Henry who thinks he's big enough to play too.  Thankfully this playground was big enough for adults to climb around too - otherwise we would have a mad little boy!

Henry got to go down the big slide with Daddy! Ha.  Daddy wasn't too happy!

We grilled out for lunch & dinner, played around the house, & then took baths & got ready to go the fireworks!

We went to fireworks in Porterdale & had a great view. Unfortunately we waited about 2 hours for a 15 minute show.  Entertaining two crazy kids in a car for 2 hours is no easy feat! Thankfully they both loved the fireworks & then promptly fell asleep during our drive home. They were both worn slap out (& up WAY past their bedtimes!)

Of course, the late bedtimes did not equal getting up late the next morning.  Oh well.

Pizza Casserole!

Pizza Casserole is one of our favorite Pinterest finds! The kids like it too!

Splashpark!

We met Valerie & Jack in Roswell at Riverside Park on our first day of "staying at home". The kids had a great time playing in the water, having a picnic lunch, & then playing on the playground.

Henry loved the water!  He went from one thing to the next, not being afraid of it getting in his face or getting soaked!

Emma ran around & played with the other kids.

Mr Fearless

Sweet brother & sister

You can't tell, but more than likely he's trying to make her let go of his hand & is telling her "No! No!" He thinks he's big & doesn't need help.  This is a definite challenge, especially when he thinks he can go down stairs by himself.

Somehow, that's all the pictures I took.  Unfortunately I didn't get any of our friends or our picnic! I know how I missed them at the playground, Henry thought he needed to be on the playground too, climbing & trying to scare his mommy!

Baby's First Haircut!

Henry's hair was getting too long in the back & I couldn't stand it anymore, so when I scheduled a haircut for Emma, I scheduled one for him too!

Before (excuse the bruise on his head, he & Em bumped heads)

During!

Front - so handsome!

Back

Emma got a new haircut too - nice & short for summer! Now her bangs are the same length as the rest of her hair! Yay!!!!

The Pool!

So when we picked out our house, we didn't get a neighborhood with Swim/Tennis.  Kind of a bummer, but we do like our house.  And with the house market these days, it doesn't look like we'll be moving anytime soon...

But! My parents' neighborhood does have a pool, so we're trying to take advantage of it this summer! Plus, we need Emma to practice her swimming, so she'll get better & actually be able to swim on her own! Too bad Nanny & Papa's pool is over an hour away...

Henry boy got in the pool with Nanny.  He was pretty tired, so it took him awhile to warm up to the pool.

Emma was a fish.

We were at the pool for awhile, just didn't get to take too many pictures.  Both kids ended up loving it! It was just me & my mom that day, so we both had to be in the pool & couldn't document Emma jumping off the side probably 20 times! And Henry thought that was pretty cool, so he "jumped" off the side a few times too!

Little Boys

I'm learning that little boys are definitely different from little girls.  Well, at least Henry is! He is always on the go, always getting into stuff.  His is definitely a mess (and makes one too!)

He pulled down a basket of laundry in the laundry room so he could get to some of the water toys.  Can't turn my eyes for a moment!

What?

He also loves our washer & dryer - even if they are off!

The laundry room seems to be a trend with him.  I think this means, I need to teach him to do our laundry!

He is too much fun, I am crazy about that crazy boy!

Playing in the Yard

So we set up the blow-up pool & sprinkler in the yard for some fun/wet outdoor play! Daddy got out the bubble lawn mower for little man too!  He can't get it to blow bubbles just yet, but likes to push it around.

Note to self, in the future, don't get everything out at the same time.  We ran from the sprinkler to the pool, to the sprinkler, to the pool.  It resulted in nothing being used that much & a lot of dirt & grass in the pool.  Yuck!

They had a great time!

Swim Lessons

A few weeks ago, Emma took Swim Lessons at Rockdale Gynmastics.  They were every day for 2 weeks (8 lessons total).  She did great & really learned a lot & got more confident in the water.

Here she is sliding down the shallow-end slide.

And swimming with her teacher.

The brave kids got to try the deep end slide! She finally tried it the last week of lessons.

Putting her face under the water.

All the kids went down the deep end slide on the last day. She was so much braver than before!

As a special treat on the last day, the kids got to try out a blow-up Slip-n-Slide. They loved it!

Her class with their certificates!

My friend Jennifer from work's daughter Skylar did swim lessons with us too.  Sweet friends!

Jamie's Wedding - More Pics!

So the theme around here seems to be my camera being messed up.  I think it just needs a new rechargeable battery, so I'll work on that.  Again, thanks to my parents' camera, here are a few more pictures of the wedding!

Here's the flower girl waiting her turn :)

Not gonna lie, I think she's pretty cute.

This is my sweet friend Jeni!

Emma & Jeni

Emma & the beautiful bride, Jamie!

The ring barrier was a little nervous, so Em held his hand as they walked down the aisle. Unfortunately that meant, she didn't do her "job" - tossing rose petals.

A relieved bride & her maid of honor after it was all over! Her dad looks pretty happy too!

My precious group of friends- Jeni, me, Jamie, & Elizabeth. I love these girls!

Jeni, Elizabeth, & me!

The reception was a Maggianos in Buckhead.  We had the BEST time!  Food was great & I even got David to dance with me!  Success!
