Henry is 4 Months Old! (August 30)

Henry turned 4 months old.

Don't you love his feet?  He is crazy...

Big Gummy Smile!!

I swear, he is so sweet, I could eat him with a spoon.  He is such an easy-going little guy, very content as long as he can see us & we pay attention to him.  He loves his Mommy, Daddy, Big Sister, bath time, his teachers at school, & napping in his car seat or on Mom!

Fort!

When I was a kid, Cory & I used to build a fort with our dining room chairs & blankets, & hang out in it all day, reading books, playing, goofing off.  One weekend we were home, I thought....why not build a little fort for Emma?  So, I did.

She seemed to like it.

Next time I guess we'll need more chairs & more blankets, but she seemed to like it.  We'll have to do it again sometime!

My Babies & Child Photographer

See that cute girl in the picture below?  See that camera around her neck?  There's kind of a story behind it.  Her Nanny & Papa brought it back for her from Pikes Peak & it has pictures in it to look at.  But, she thinks its real.

Anyway, a few pictures of the kiddos.  Not complete without the camera and a barbie doll.

Smiley boy

I was trying to get some pictures of my boy...

But Barbie had to be close-by (she must have a crush)

I gave up on good pictures & let Emma take over....

I'd say not too bad for a 3 year old!  Santa may have to bring her a camera, LOL.

Craft Cabinet

I designated a "Craft Cabinet" in the kitchen where I store Emma's coloring books, crayons, stickers, etc, along with a few of my "crafty" items (ie, ribbon for bows!) Emma gets into the cabinet occasionally to pull out what she wants to do at the kitchen table, but one day I found her like this...

Sitting IN the cabinet!

Needless to say, I found this rather funny.

Searching for what she wants... you can hardly see her.

She is such a goober.

Ballet Lessons

Emma started ballet lessons (ok, the 3 year old class is technically called the "Creative Movement" class LOL) in August & LOVES it!  We go every week on Tuesdays.

She loves wearing her leotard, tights, skirt, & ballet shoes.  Little Miss is prissy!  Seeing 3 year old girls in ballet attire each week is as adorable as it sounds.

Sadly, I don't get to watch their class, but I can hear them through the wall from the waiting room.  They do a silly peanut butter song with peanut butter in their hair, shoes, underwear, etc, which they think is funny. They do the ABCs backwards, do some kind of princess dance, carry a basket, have bar time, & then close each week with Under the Sea in a circle holding hands.  She seems to follow directions & has been learning a lot.  I hear the teacher say her name sometimes, but it's not because she's acting up, so that's always good!

They have two performances each year - one around Christmas and then a recital in the Spring.  They started their Christmas dance this week.  So far, they're doing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  I tried to get her to practice, but I don't think she has it down just yet!

Emma Girl

Playing some catch up since I've been back to work.  I apologize for the lack of posts & pictures lately, I promise I'll try to do better!

At any rate, here are some pictures of Emma.  There is never a dull moment with this child!

There is no such thing as too many accessories - hints the Rainbow Ribbons in her hair, Flower Headband, Cape, 3 Tutus, & Grass Skirt.  Oh, and she's wearing a swimsuit under all that - LOL.

Needless to say, she was oh so pleased with herself!

We went shopping for Ballet clothes & then modeled them for Daddy. (Please ignore the paint sample on the wall - we/David are/is painting!)

She has some big shoes to fill!

This one cracks me up of Em & Papa. She piled every pillow she could find on his lap & then climbed in it too.  She thought she was so funny (she was!)

Emma is such a joy & has eased into being a big sister so gracefully.  She makes her brother laugh & smile.  She's already looking out for him, making sure he's safe, happy, & well-fed!  She gives the best hugs & kisses, checks up on us, is a great helper, & just an all-round sweet girl!  I love her so so much!

TGIF

So going back to work kind of put us through a loop.  We run hard all week & by the evenings, we're all worn out.  Needless to say, computer time at home has been minimal.  But we're doing good and getting adjusted.  I've officially been back to work 1 month (5 full weeks).

I took Henry to the doctor today. He's been coughing a couple weeks, but it hasn't gotten any better, so I went ahead and took him.  Poor little guy has an ear infection & is on antibiotics the next 10 days. Glad I went ahead and took him before it got worse!  He now weighs 13 pounds 15 ounces - yes that's just shy of 14 pounds! My baby is growing quick!

Apparently he's getting very long too.  She didn't tell me how long he was today, but seeing how his 6 month pjs are getting too short & I washed 2 pairs of 9 month pjs tonight, I have to assume he must be growing (or his clothes are shrinking!)

Emma is doing great too.  She loves ballet class & has been a sweet friend at school.  She's always coloring & telling us new things she has learned. Yesterday she came home chanting "TGIF, TGIF, TGIF!" I asked her what that means & she said "Friday!!" Unfortunately she was a little premature, seeing how yesterday was only Thursday.  This morning I told her it was Friday, so she decided to celebrate with some TGIF.  And she was also excited that Friday night is Pizza Night, so of course that's a good reason to celebrate too!

With the Labor Day weekend, I'm hoping to get to catch up a little around the house & hoping to post a few more blogs for you (hopefully pictures too!)  Right now a Stinky Little Boy is ready for a BATH!
