January

Silly girl

Henry decided it was a good idea to move the kitchen rug, drag a chair over, & play in the sink....

Look at that face....he knows better

When David went to visit his friend Drake in North Dakota, the kids & I packed up to spend part of the time with my parents.  We went to visit Nene at her assisted living.

And wouldn't you know it, somebody found her sink too.

We ate dinner & frozen yogurt with Atchie :)

And Henry found a good way to turn off & on lights...stinker.

July 4th!

I interrupt the recap from the past 6 months to say Happy Independence Day!

We are so thankful & blessed to live in the country we do - I still believe there is no place greater!

A quick flashback from last year's July 4th that we celebrated at home.  I'll post pictures of this year too....hopefully I'll be all caught up by the fall, right??

And just because I love 4th of July, I thought I'd share that my favorite patriotic song.... "God Bless the USA"  I can just see fireworks & remember July 4th's past when I hear it...I just love it :)

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars
to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota
to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas
from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston
and New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart
and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

Christmas with the Scrivner's

David's sister & her husband live in South Carolina, so we celebrated Christmas with his family over New Year's.

We tried to get a family picture in front of their tree....this is the best we got.

Our nephew William & Aunt Leslie loving on Colin (David's cousin's baby).

Grandma's babies

David & his brother Brent

Brother in law Brad & sister Sharon

Grandpa & Emma....I think they were tired.

David's younger sister Susan

Aunt Susan got Emma a fun Lego Friend's set....and the girl in the set is named Emma too :)

David's family is super talented...we got handmade hats & scarfs!

Emma & Izzy in matching pigtails & matching purple!

Henry & Grandma checking out one of Susan's turtles

We always enjoy going to Grandma & Grandpa's house in Ball Ground!  David's Aunt, Uncle, & Cousins were in town too, so it was nice to visit with them as well!

Christmas Evening

On Christmas evening my Uncle Perry, Aunt Barbara, & my cousins came over to Mom & Dad's to celebrate Christmas too.

There were more gifts....

And lots of play time!

It's hard to see, but Izzy & a Barbie are in the trunk this time...I think the girl cousins kind of took over :)

We had a very blessed Christmas!!  After all the fun, we put the kids in PJs and drove home & crashed!

Christmas Afternoon

We celebrating on Christmas afternoon at my parent's house!

Henry was so cute piled up with all the babies while watching a show.

My fabulous, awesome husband made homemade pizzas for my family...both deep dish & thin crust.

They were seriously good.

My brother tried on my mom's new bright pink North Face fleece.

Here's my Nene, my mom's mom.

Sorry, but I think she's pretty cute.

Courtney & Cory

Henry loves this puppy that he got...it barks & walks around.

My brother is pretty cute interacting with Henry....but forget about asking him to change a diaper LOL.

Henry got a Truck cozy coupe...Emma liked it too.

Good thing there's a trunk....they can both ride, lol.

My mom was so funny with the Elmo...he tells jokes & laughs.

We had a great Christmas with my parents!
