Decorating for Christmas & Cecil's Pancake Breakfast!

Right after Thanksgiving we started decorating our house for Christmas!!

Emma thought she needed to wear our Christmas tree skirt :)

Henry tried it out too, of course.

The next morning we awoke to Cecil's arrival!!!! He left a note about making pancakes for breakfast because they're his favorite :) 

They were surprised of course & Cecil brought them new Christmas plates & a new Christmas book. 

Both of their pancakes were decorated like snowmen :) 

Afterwards, we tried to get a pj picture in front of our tree for our Christmas card...it was mostly a failure...

However, I think this girl is pretty cute :) 

Later, I got them in their Christmas outfits & this is what we came up with for cards :)

Thanksgiving Day

So I'm not much of a cook...my contribution to Thanksgiving was salad with all sorts of toppings.....and apple dip (recipe from my mother in law - it's awesome, & idea from Pinterest, of course!).  The dip was a pretty big hit.

Playdate at Northpoint

We met our BFFs Mrs Valerie & Jack for a playdate at Northpoint Mall.  They have a fun kid area (which was wild & crazy!) 

They have an awesome carousel....my pretty girl.

Henry apparently needed a haircut...

Atlantic Station with Jeni!

My sweet friend Jeni was in town over Thanksgiving week, so we met her in Atlantic Station for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen.  

After lunch, we walked to look at the tree & take a few pictures.  My kids ran all over & entertained shoppers with their singing & dancing.

Thankful for this sweet friend - can't believe I've known her since 2nd grade!

Thanksgiving at Pre-K!

Emma's school celebrated Thanksgiving this year with a yummy feast & they invited us to join them!

They worked so hard & made special Native American shirts & fun Turkey hats!

They also worked on special songs for us & performed them as a class...sadly I only got the back of Em's head.  

We had a great Thanksgiving celebrating with our families!

How's that for a blogging break?  To say things have been crazy is really an understatement.

I'm going to blame it on my work from home transcription job I started...but really it's just everything - working part time from home, kids, cleaning, the hubby, cooking dinner....just life.

But now that I have my job semi-under control (hello, 7-8 months later...lol) I'm going to do my best to play a little catch up.  We'll see how I do :)
